For the past few years, Little League baseball across the country has been losing players. Most people blame it on other sports, but I have a different theory. Little League Baseball is losing kids to other sports because the game of baseball is not being taught by adults who have a respect for the game. With a couple of exceptions, it is being taught by baseball illiterate, incompetent and unknowledgeable adults who don’t have a basic understanding of the game or its rules.

David Zuckerman for lieutenant governor

I have known David since he began farming at the Intervale. Organic farming is not easy and he has succeeded with his farm business as well has represented Chittenden County in the legislature for many years. Very impressive!! Since he has been in the legislature I have been impressed at his willingness to take the lead on difficult issues and bring them to fruition. Such successes would not have happened without his skills in listening and communicating with all views.

My resignation from the Charlotte Central School Board of Directors will take effect at midnight on the date of distribution of this issue of The Charlotte News: June 16, 2016. The reader should not interpret this as some sort of protest. Had I been going to resign in protest over something or other that would have happened a couple decades ago. This is a simple acknowledgement of the marked disparities between my perspective on education and the perspective which will determine the course of events going forward.
